We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenny Bereal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My initial thought process behind starting my own business was, being my own boss, making a lot of money, and establishing a recognizable brand identity. As I matured in business my focus changed to building something I could leave behind for my children and creating financial freedom for myself, others who I work with, and family around me.

What should our readers know about your business?
My main company is Bereal Corp. Bereal Corp was formed to be the umbrella company to the different projects and companies I am a part of. The companies under the Bereal Corp Umbrella are Hitclub Entertainment, which is a full-service entertainment company, and BWI Group, a real estate, and special projects investment company. Along with Bereal Corp, I currently work as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for Beyorch Inc. Beyorch is a hybrid-Merchant Bank engineered for investors and companies. Beyorch also has a cryptocurrency division called Beyorch Digital (BYC), which I oversee as well.

I feel what sets me apart in business is my humility, character, integrity, and faith. I pride myself on conducting good business and making an impact on the people I meet. Creating and maintaining great relationships, persistence, and being a student of the game is how I got to where I am business-wise. My journey was not an easy one. After getting my BA Degree I returned to college to get my master’s while working in the music industry full time. Although I had a great deal of success and wins in music, it also came with a lot of losses, failures, and heartbreaks including not being able to complete my master’s program in college. Through it all, I am profoundly grateful for everything I went through on my journey. The difficulties of my career in the music industry led to many other opportunities in other industries such as sports, technology, real estate, and finance. One thing I learned on my journey was humility and patience which helped me overcome so many challenges I faced along the way. The main thing I want the world to know about my brand is the legacy and dynasty I’m leaving for my children, and the impact I am making on the lives of others by helping them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you are in the hood and love BBQ I recommend Phillips in LA or Inglewood. For entertainment and food, you can always visit DTLA, Leimert Park, or the Venice Santa Monica Area. I honestly don’t get to go out on the town too often these days. My focus is my faith, my family, and my work, but if my best friend came to town, we would probably be doing a lot of family activities and visiting kid-friendly attractions around town…lol. I do not have any recommendations on nightlife hangouts, but when I do get a break from the kids, you can find me at a sporting event, music concert, and occasionally a quick turnaround trip to Las Vegas.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my dad, Charles” Buddy” Bereal (RIP).
