We had the good fortune of connecting with Lee Morton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
You feel like you can make this “thing” that will help or get people excited. The craft and delivering on a promise is inspiring. Thinking differently with creative that would help someone stand out, to make something that someone can FEEL. All those things I would do for free because I’m fascinated with them so may as well earn a living along the way.
What should our readers know about your business?
Mozell is an advertising production agency that helps brands come alive and connect with viewers. The commercial should be felt, you should be moved, is our belief. And enveloped in a wonderful experience that’s on budget and on time. Of course. The work should be daring, and sincere. It should be worth your time. With noise continuing to rise, what we chose to say should resonate – it should permate you. Business is fun, hard, scary, and an obsession. If you have a team that you love, you have to continually love them and help them grow. Then the business benefits but more importantly you lay your head on the pillow knowing everyone is better off. What’s your moonshot? What’s your BHAG? What will they remember about you? We deliver content that’s wrapped in beauty with a heart of distruption.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hamden, Station North, Remington.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that have helped drive the Mozell engine forward. A few that come to mind are Glen Elliott from Cord 3 Films, Joel Flora (DP), Chad Brown, Zach Kane, Nick N, Leandra, Lisa and Delaney.
