We had the good fortune of connecting with London Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi London, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I think many people spend a great deal of time wondering what their passion is. Others find it naturally. I believe finding your passion
can not be found in your head, but found deep within your soul and
heart. DIY projects have always been therapeutic for me. It wasn’t
until I was at a low point in life. I was unhappy, unsatisfied with
myself and feeling like there was more I wanted to do. I was tired of
having fear and doubting myself. In 2019 a friend and I started a
luxury curated picnic business. We both shared similar creative
visions. Our plan together created something beautiful that allowed me
to not only express my creativity, but also allowed me to evolve in my
creative side. I learned that I was good and creating beautiful set
ups naturally and I enjoyed it. Creating London Wick was a huge break
thru for me personally. It was one of those things you never knew you
needed. I knew the vision I wanted and I worked hard to achieve it.
Creating candles and building a brand has been fulfilling in ways I
never knew existed. I take pride in my work. I’m more confident in
myself and most importantly I enjoy what I do. I hope everyone at
some point in life experience the feeling of doing something they

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hello, my name is London Cooper owner and creator of London Wick, a candle brand inspired by moods and places that can take you anywhere, “London Wick” was created during a time when the world needed an escape. Each candle is handcrafted with a minimalistic aesthetic along with cleaning burning scents.

Marking candles is therapy to my soul. Becoming a business owner has help me evolve and changed for the better. My goal is to grow, expand, help and inspire other women to tap into their creative side and do what they love and enjoy doing. Being apart of a women empowerment generation has inspired me in some many ways. I want all of us to win!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to say thank you to Enica Barnes with @neighborsdc and The Village cafe DC (local cafe and pop-up shop). Enica has allowed me to show case my products and help grow my clientele.
