We had the good fortune of connecting with MARC SUCIU and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MARC, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Having a positive impact on those around me makes me happy. I try to look at every interaction I have with people to be honest and truthful to who I am. I feel this gives everyone a genuine version of me, which in turn allows them to be themselves and be happy.
What should our readers know about your business?
The Cask Wine and Beer Boutique takes the idea of a liquor store in a direction that focuses more on smaller producers not traditionally found. We focus on independent producers that have an amazing story to tell. Our products are from family owned and operated companies, are not available in grocery or big box retailers, and allow for a conversation to be had about them.
Our staff is a benchmark of our company. We take pride in their knowledge of the wine and spirits industry. We encourage them to build relationships with their customers to learn their likes and dislikes to enhance their shopping experience. Our managers receive training from the WSET (Wine and Spirits Educational Trust) to ensure their proficiency in the industry.
We foster a culture of free speech and inclusion. Everyone is here to support each other. We want our customers and employees to feel like our store is their own. A safe place and a place that is a part of the community and an anchor to the neighborhood.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am an outdoorsy person. I would take them to Red Rock Canyon for a day of hiking and mountain biking. Then, in the afternoon we would visit the arts district and the great local breweries.
Since Las Vegas is a nightlife town there are more options than a week can support, but the cocktail bars and lounges would be the best way to give someone a glimpse of the nightlife. Herb’s and Rye for drinks, Cleaver for dinner, The Golden Tiki for after hours are a few of the spots I would take them to.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I cannot be who I am without the support of my wife. She has been a rock over the past 7 years; and has done nothing but give 100% support to my ideas and our launch of the company. Without her love, support, and drive, I would not be where I am, and our company would not have ever made it off the ground. I love you Erica.
