We had the good fortune of connecting with Temitope Adebiyi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Temitope, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Continuous learning and the desire to be better than who I was yesterday.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Filmaker. I love telling my stories through the visual act of Filming. I sometimes call myself a “complete filmmaker” because I technically can perform the role of every crew that makes a film. I handle camera, do lightning, direct, Edit, production design, set design , collect foley etc. Getting to this point today isn’t an easy tale. It involves a lot of consistency and dedication. I realized early that a BA major in Cinematography, TV, Radio and Films production wasn’t enough without the continuous on-set practicals. Many lessons have been learnt, especially, standing your ground from a professional standpoint and more lessons still being learnt, Like they will always say in Film school, “no one knows it all in Filming”
I have a Film “Down From Heaven” coming out soon. And i have 2 cross continent Film I am trying to work on as well. Which are 2 big projects for me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Take him to have some nice African cuisine. And as a lover of the African culture., my eyes will definitely be on places where that can be explored.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to everyone who has believed in me and my brand, and pushed me to get better at what I do. Not forgetting “Opomulero” for the support.
