We had the good fortune of connecting with Maren Earn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maren, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I think what inspires me the most is women in my community. Ladies who are out there making their dreams a reality! I love my local girl boss girl gang!! They give me the strength to fight harder and to accomplish my goals. They also give me the support and love when it gets hard!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The reason that I started SheWeed was because I wanted to create a safe space for women to be honest and not judged about their cannabis use. I was looking for a space and couldn’t find one so I created my own. I feel like that’s what sets me apart. Hopefully I have helped pave the way for other like-minded women owned businesses. Since I have started my adventure I have seen a lot more businesses and accounts pop up that are creating safe spaces for women and mothers. In a male dominated space of course there are lots of challenges as a woman own brand. The great thing is the cannabis space is changing dramatically and a lot of other women owned brands are popping up. I think what sets SheWeed apart is the quality of the product and also the beautifully curated packaging. I wanted to create products that would enhance your aesthetic and also to create a platform to support and collaborate with other women owned brands. SheWeed is on a mission to feminize the future of cannabis.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend come visit me I think the first thing that we would do is hit up Ashe Which is a local cannabis dispensary that is women owned and is one of the best spots in town! After we are all stocked up we would probably head down to Crystal Cove walk down to the beach, light up joint, and bask in the sun. Once the munchies kicked in we would probably drive down to Laguna Beach hit up the Broadway restaurant by Amar Santana and get our grub on! Sounds like a perfect day in the OC to me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! For me it’s all about the boss ladies in my community! I am surrounded by all these incredible women who are really just living their best lives and it’s truly inspiring!
