We had the good fortune of connecting with Miles Snow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miles, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Big risk big reward. Many of the most pivotal points in my life stem from taking risks. Right now especially is a time for people to look inwards and analyze what they really want to do in life and how to make it happen. I’ve always been in favor of taking necessary risks to reach the next level and doing so has allowed me to grow instead of remaining stagnant.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
“Stay Eatin’ Bruh” is an ongoing brand looking to bridge music (specifically hip hop and food). My idea uses unique ways to introduce to musical artists to food and restaurants with amazing food. We look to highlight smaller restaurants especially during this time. It hasn’t been easy but we’ve managed to continue building the brand and expanding even during the pandemic. We look to continue growing and without any major backing all word of mouth helps both us and the businesses we work with so we appreciate the support!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Gotta go to Runyon first. I be up early too so get ready for that, exercise before breakfast. After that it’s just food.. the whole week. Maybe hit Santa Monica/Venice but besides that we eatin’. LN2 on Melrose, Stevie’s Creole Cafe, D Town Pizzeria, Annie’s Soul Food, Blaqhaus NoHo, Lotus Vegan Cafe, Dan’s Subs, Cookies N Kicks on Melrose, Earle’s on Crenshaw, The Fat Dog NoHo, Mel’s, Dialog Cafe, and of course…. gotta get the “Stay Eatin’ Bruh Combo” available at both Carney’s location!!! It’s our signature meal there so huge shoutout to them! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s too many people to name and more that are added as the journey goes on, but they all know who they are. One group is the “Blxck Monopoly” page that gave me a lot of motivation to keep going even when things were slower. There have also been friends and family members who I draw motivation and inspiration from to keep pushing forward.
