We had the good fortune of connecting with Nargis Alimi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nargis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I grew up with parents who always had there own business. Watching them I learned how important it was to build your own empire and set goals to reach success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The 90’s was an era of thin brows we all had them, at some point I knew having thicker brows were definitely a thing in the future. I learned how to thread brows by my mom when I was 13 years old. With the technique of threading I am able to shape brows in a precise way where I can control the amount of hair I’m taking off by a line without thinning them out. Threading does stimulate hair and give the brows a more consistent shape. Keeping them thick. I specialize in brows because I’m certified over 6x in semi permanent tattoos where if a client has little to no hair I’m still able to help them.
I also teach Lash Lifting and Brow lamination and not just any lash lifts but a keratin lash lift which promotes lash growth adding protein. I did my research for many years and found a product that has no ammonia no harsh chemicals and I teach future artists with advance techniques how to do the same.
I’m very passionate and love what I do, Obsessed is a understatement,

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Damn that’s a hard thing because to be honest I would probably take her to my studio and give her all the services that she will need and love and thank me everyday when she goes back. No joke.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My number 1 supporter is my husband he believed in my passion and knew I will be really good at what I do. At the time we were dating and he decided to open my first studio back in 2008. I worked 7 days a week building my clientelle and adding different services to my menu. My Sister from another mother Mina who works side by side with me for over 9 years had my back when I got pregnant 2 years in a row she took over and maintained our reputation and helped me build my empire. Forever greatful to her couldn’t do it with out her.
