We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicki Maron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicki, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
risk taking is one of the fundamental cores of being an entrepreneur. My dad always says, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Everyday we are presented with risks and as a business leader, you have to be willing to do what is best for the business – which includes taking risks.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since 2011, Blushington has disrupted the traditional beauty landscape with personalized, experiential beauty services in stores, online and on location. Our mission is to ensure every personalized beauty experience with our expert Blushington Artists leaves you feeling beautiful, confident, comfortable in your own skin and armed with the best of the best in makeup, skincare and hair products. It has been the most incredible journey – coast to coast and I have learned more than I could ever have imagined. With Covid, we were transported to our roots of being an entrepreneur. We were able to pivot within two weeks and launch a virtual business. Instead of being prohibited by our state lines, we are now seeing clients from all over the country. It has been incredibly rewarding to use our Blushington knowledge and empower clients all over the country. I am so proud of our team for working so hard and for working so quickly. I want the world to know about Blushington and I want the world to meet our incredible Expert Makeup artists. In a few short weeks, we will be launching an initiative that I could not be more proud about. Stay tuned for more exciting Blushington news!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Such a great question! I am a Californian – born and raised so the first stop I would go to is the beach! I would drive from the valley on Topanga and land on PCH. That moment at the light where you see the water is such a great way to experience California Coastal living. I would stop for lunch at Cholada Thai (one of my favorite Thai restaurants) or if my friend wanted something a bit lighter, I would recommend going to Malibu Kitchen. There is nothing better than smelling the ocean breeze and enjoying a great meal in Malibu.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely – my parents, my family, my friends and my team! Our fearless leader Natasha has been an incredible mentor to me over the past 6 years. I also have to thank Best Buddies, Visionary Women and United Friends of the Charity.
