We had the good fortune of connecting with RocknRollTina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RocknRollTina, why did you pursue a creative career?
Music has always been there for me and I wanted to give back in the most fan girl way! I was at a radio station for a couple of years when I decided leave and start something new. My media company “DIVERSIFIED ARTS” was made to bring spotlight to the local artist. I have been going to shows since I was a teenager. I’m a huge music fan. I collect records, cassettes, CDs, magazines, and books from all my favorite bands! I love promoting the underdogs of our music scene. Everyone definitely needs to go out to a local show. Buy a shirt, post a picture online of the band, stream their music. It’s all about making dreams come true!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I don’t like to compare ourselves to other media companies or promoters. I love how we all network when we catch each other at shows. We need to bring the music community stronger together.

I am most proud about how much we have helped people make their dreams come true. I like to give smaller bands a chance to play along side with some of the bigger bands who come into town. I love that we don’t just work with music artist, but also work with people who create art, models, photographers, basically anyone who is creative has been on our show. Another cool thing we have done is hosting our Music Festival every summer. It’s always such a blast. I can’t believe we actually get to put it on every year for the community.

It was not easy to get Diversified Arts where it’s at right now. DA went through a bunch of changes. We accepted interns through the years to get their start in the music business. Eventually our interns have enough work under their belt they get offers from bigger companies. That makes me happy to see them live our their dreams! We are always welcoming people who want to join the team.

Personally, my biggest struggle is trying to put out content that I poured my heart and soul into. I never just want to quick edit something just to have it up on social media. I want it to say something special. I want people to view our content and see how much we love doing what we do. That’s what really matters. Making someone’s day with what we post. Imagine we uploaded an amazing interview and from that fans find their next favorite music artist! Social media is powerful and I want to use it to help people.

A lesson I learned along the way is to always network and never over work yourself. Have fun and be yourself. Always try to talk to people you never know who you’ll meet at these events. I have met some of the most amazing musicians who end up becoming life long friends. I even got to go to some fun exclusive events just because I said hello to a stranger who happens to work in the industry. Life is wild. So just go with it! I wouldn’t of met some of my musical idols if I never started Diversified Arts!

All I want the world to know is there is soo much music out there. We have the bands and the shows. Come out to our events and discover something new. These artist have been working hard so why not come and support them! Diversified Arts is here to entertain you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots is definitely DBA 256 Bar & Gallery in Pomona, CA. I have been hosting shows there for years. Always welcoming! We can catch a band and have some wine or beer. The surrounding area is pretty cool too! Lots of things to do. Record shops, dance clubs, and more food!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Special Shout out to Emily aka EMO the RocknRollSweetHeart who shouted me out in her article!

My Diversified Arts crew from the past and the ones who are working hard along side with me right now! Ryan our camera man, Sami our social media manager, Slater our photographer.
