Meet Sarah Olea | Brand Manager and Social Media Marketing Strategist & Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Olea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, how do you think about risk?
Every day we take a risk. Whats the purpose of taking risks in life and Career? Success. I’ve learned through my experiences of being an entrepreneur and business owner that with success comes risk. Risks some times brings failure and failure can bring you to a level of success you’ve never seen before.

I owned and operated a social media marketing agency for nearly 5 years. The last two years were filled with struggles, denial, long work days and frustration. I was holding on to my business because I thought failure would be the worst thing for me. I thought if my business failed, that meant I failed. I need to pivot, take a risk and move past the fear and get out of my comfort zone.

I hired a business coach to push me and hold me accountable. My first risk was to invest in myself. After trainings and coaching and realization that I built my business wrong and didn’t value myself, I took the next BIG risk… Close my business and START OVER!. Up until this point I thought closing my business meant I failed, but what I didn’t realize was there was something bigger waiting for my on the other side.

I closed my business, launched a new one in 2 months and BOOM. A new level of success i’ve never seen before was achieved and continues to.

Risk can bring failure and on the other side of the failure is success.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own Identity Amplified. A company that provides brand management to celebrities, influencers and creatives as well as coaching and strategy in social media and marketing.

I have worked in sales, management, PR and marketing and I combine all my skills to provide my clients with unique social media and marketing campaigns. I get most excited when a client see results after implementing strategies I’ve taught them and hit new goals whether it be more engagement or more sales.

I got where I am through assisting, networking, investing in myself and taking risks. Some seasons were easy, others were not. As i developed and grew as a business owner I realized mindset was everything and things are as easy or hard as I make it for myself. Learning from the lessons you face and actively pursuing growth will help you overcome challenges.

I want the world to know that I am no different than them. We all have a set of skills and gifts and when we are aligned with what God has called us to do, continue to shift our mindset and stay consistent in our efforts we will achieve success. One key is to surround yourself (hire, partner, work) with people who have different skills and gifts as you. Join community, hire a coach and invest in yourself!

I built my brand, Identity Amplified, to help and teach people to amplify their brand identity and become all that “i am” supposed to be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Were going hiking, lunch in Pasadena, shopping around melrose, beverly hills and dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. I love restaurants like Cara, Fogo De Chao, Barton G.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow! There are three people I want to highlight and I am so thankful for.

1. God, I believe Jesus led me to where I am now, to the people I work with and has loved and protected me throughout my journey. He has given me gifts that I get to use every day in life and business.

2. Dr. Darrick Fields, My Pastor, I call him my spiritual coach. He spoke life into me and to the women God called me to be when I didn’t see it myself. He’s spent hours with me throughout so many seasons and I thank God for his love and patience.

3. Stacey O’Byrne, My business coach. She pushed me past every boundary I put around myself and called me out when I needed it. Her skill set and training was exactly what I needed to get out of my own way and reach a new level of financial and business success.
