We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Ann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business has taught me is to not compare myself to others. I cannot compare my one year of business to someone else’s five years of business. Developing and growing takes time. I need to focus on what I can control.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Specializing in custom decorations for events such as weddings, bridal showers, parties, and many more! I was inspired to start this business because of our wedding. I made majority of our decorations and many of our family and friends were impressed! I received so much feedback and encouragement to start this as a business. A few months later, during the pandemic, I started making decor for bridal clients nationwide. It been a challenging journey from rejections to event miscommunications, and an increase of stress, but it is all worth it!

What I would like the world to know about myself and my story is that although society tells us to live a standard life of going to school and maintaining a career, entrepreneurship is a career as well! I could no longer live the life by society’s standards, and wanted to live a life that I was passionate about. Starting a business may be a struggle financially, but I would rather hustle than to live a life I regret.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the Pasadena area! It is a short drive away from LA. Pasadena has so much architecture! Great places to check out are the Pasadena City Hall, The Langham Hotel, and Old Town Pasadena. Old Town Pasadena is the downtown area and has many unique food places and shops!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to my husband from Legacy Life Coach. His words of encouragement has gotten me through many challenges. I truly appreciate how he is able to inspire me and so many people. He is my number one supporter and one of the main reasons why I was able to make this leap into being an entrepreneur.
