We had the good fortune of connecting with Roshaun Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roshaun, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
I think the single most important decision that attributed to my success was to listen to my intuition. To trust my intuition more than I trust anyone else and to follow that no matter what. A lot of times people follow everyone but themselves and end up in spaces and places that they don’t want to be. Once I realized that, I had to do the heavy work of trusting that voice inside of me that told me to trust it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If I had to explain more about my art, I would call it the art of opportunity, resources and money. Throughout my creative career I have really mastered the art of leveraging those things to help others around me. Ive always been the type to see something in others that they may not see in themselves and nurture that, and then help them share their unique gift with the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many places to explore, but if I was to put an itinerary together, it would look a little something like this:
Breakfast at Egg Slut
Exploring The Broad Museum
Lunch at Urth Cafe in the Arts District
Exploring at Hauser & Wirth in the Arts District
Dinner at Roscoe in Hollywood
Stop through First Friday in Abbot Kinney
End sitting on the beach in Venice Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Let’s give a shoutout to Joe Dispenza for writing the book: Breaking the Habit of Being yourself. I found that book a few years ago and it allowed me to unlock a piece of myself that was programmed to do the same things over and over and over again.
