We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffanie Holloway and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffanie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is simply “self-love.” As baffling as it may seem, I just began modeling February of this year and it happened by accident. Besides the pandemic, 2020 was a difficult year being that I suffered many family losses, as well as the worst breakup of my life. Suffering from the loss of my grandmother, aunts, uncles, and one of my favorite cousin’s on my father’s side, including my relationship, I fell into a deep depression. I came close to reaching 200 lbs, and I had no desire to push forward. Once the year was coming to an end an eternal flame lit within my soul, and at that moment I could no longer live in sadness. I told myself I was worthy, I was enough, and nothing will ever place me into this dark abyss again. I lost over 30 lbs and decided to do a photoshoot for myself for Valentine’s Day. Instead of going on a date with someone and potentially have a horrible time, I decided to pour into myself and do something that would make me happy. I was my own Valentine and it was the best thing I could have ever done. From Valentine’s Day until now so many blessings have flooded my life. Doors have been opening left and right, and I’ve been extremely grateful. Since Valentine’s Day, I have had the pleasure of meeting multiple talented photographers, videographers, and influential beings across the world. When I did the shoot, I had no expectations, other than giving myself something to look back on when I grew old. This photoshoot is what started my modelling career. Since February, I have done several photoshoots/music videos, filmed with different networks, walked in a few runway shows, and interviewed celebrities at red carpet events, Who knew that finally loving myself again would get me this far. I encourage all people, men and women, to pour into themselves, and only do what brings them joy. We only have one life to live, so we better make the most of it while we can.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Along with being a model, and creating art through imagery, I also do microblading out of my mothers hair salon, (Lee’s Hair Boutique,) in Palmdale, California. For those who may not know, microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that produces natural hair-like strokes with a manual tool. This technique is used to deposit pigment into the skin with needles. The hair-like strokes reach only into the superficial layers of the skin, which makes this method semi-permanent unlike normal tattoo’s which are permanent. What sets me apart from others, is the fact I gain joy from making others happy. Of all the eyebrows I have done, the best part about my job is being the reason others want to look in the mirror. In my own way, I am supplying others with the desire to love themselves again. At the end of the day I encourage self-love in all avenues of life. Seeing the joy on women, and men’s faces when they look in the mirror after my service, is the best feeling in the world. I am most excited about the movie’s and shows that will be debuting this year that I have had the honor of being a part of. Working is easy as long as it’s enjoyable. I feel like I was made for everything I’ve been doing which includes acting, modeling, and making others beautiful. The lessons I have learned along the way are to stay consistent, keep your eye on the prize, and never stop. I’ll never forget the advice my high-school Vice Principle Ligons taught us, he said “consistency is the key to success,” and these words have stuck with me to this day. If my story encourages others to be the best, and pour into themselves, then I would love for them to hear. I want everyone to know they have what it takes within themselves to be whatever, and whoever they want to be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I would take them to Eighty Two, which is a pinball bar in Los Angeles. This bar not only has vintage arcade games from different decades, they have a room full of different pinball machines as well. Pinball is one of my favorite games, so to be able to drink and play, now that’s exciting! I also would take my friend to Hot N Juicy Crawfish, located in West Hollywood for some delicious seafood. I would also go to Six Flags in Valencia, California for some thrilling fun! We would visit a few beaches along the way, visiting different popup shops, and vendors each beach had to offer. During the week maybe we could catch the latest movie at a local theater. I would take my best friend to Louisiana Charlie’s in long beach which is a delicious Cajun restaurant offering various dishes to make one’s taste buds go wild! I also would take her to the Van Goh museum which is fairly new in Los Angeles, and we would have the time of our lives with all the gorgeous visuals and artwork throughout.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Quan Chandler for the professional recommendation he gave to you. He is a genuine, kind, reliable man, and I am so thankful to have him in my corner as a friend. Second, I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Lejon Johnson (@_dragonmedia). He is a longtime friend, who is also my personal photographer. He believed in me from the beginning and he saw something in me that I was unable to see within myself. He is responsible for the Valentine’s Day shoot, which inspired me to keep going, as well as keep loving myself. The first 3 photoshoots I’ve ever done were with Lejon, and since then, we’ve continuously created photo magic! Aside from self-love, Lejon deserves all of the credit. He works extremely hard, and is an outstanding humble individual. Thank you for everything Lejon Johnson! My friends and family are also huge supporters, and I wouldn’t have been able to continue without their constant encouragement. I want to personally thank Marcus Farris (@mdotformayor), for believing in me as well. He was the first creative director I had ever met, and he granted me the opportunity to be in my very first music video which was with Tee Grizzley. Since I began loving myself, every time the sun touches my skin, I feel God smiling down as if He’s proud of me too. Nothing can stop me now!
