We had the good fortune of connecting with Timmie Brann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Timmie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For me living and taking risks are essentially the same thing. I don’t do complacency in any facet of my life. So it’s not only in business that I take risks, it’s also in competition, my personal life, and all things I do. You see for me nerves are a sign of life, almost like a heart beat. In nothing in life makes you nervous, I fear you are not truly living. Risk is the only arena I know how to live in.

What should our readers know about your business?
My current business model started the moment I became a coach. I only knew how to operate in one lane if I was going to be authentic and I only wanted to coach if it came from an authentic place. Thus, the current business model of Hybrid House was born. It is different because it comes from a place of risk. Risk in regard to being somebody. We encourage the fuck out of self love, self worth and confidence. We feel in order to achieve this high level of self assurance we must push hard past barriers and triggers and fears. So, in order to achieve this greatness we must expect and push in an unconventional manner. So we are different. We expect. We push. We grind. We do it all under a professional and safe umbrella of grit, fun, community and intensity all wrapped into one. We ask that our clients view themselves as an athlete. Perhaps one they once were or one they always wanted to be. Training as an athlete is different when you’re out of high school and college. So why train adults this way? I ask why not? If done in a safe and fun environment the transformation that follows is unbeatable, it’s completely life altering in the very best way. Why just check the daily box of working out when you can level up and truly see what a badass you are?!?
If I believe risk taking is life than it makes sense that I coach, program, train and lead the same way doesn’t it? It’s all I know and all I’ve ever known.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would do it all!!!!! This question made me laugh because of the amount of times my friends have said to me “This is horseshit”
“You said we were hiking not climbing a fucking mountain”
“Yeah cool Timmie no one needs sleep.”
I’m known for leaving out details, not on purpose, I just don’t need them so I don’t realize others do. Selfish I guess.
So we would –
Go to my gym and workout
Go out to dinner and drinks somewhere on 4th street
Get up and literally hike to a local peak
Come home and go out to another dinner with drinks
Go to the gym and workout
And this stays on repeat
Work hard play hard with me

My friends curse me in the moment and when they leave, everyone, they say they feel like they can do anything

See!!? This is what I mean!
Fuck comfort and routine.
Get out there and live!
We will sleep when we’re dead!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to dedicate this to my lover, Cindy. Without her nothing moves. She is my cheerleader, my other half in parenting our two young children, my true puzzle piece when it comes to trying to balance so many things into this life. We both want to do it all and the only way to make that possible is to do it together. She makes our house a home, risk feel safe and moms like a pro.
