We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony “G” Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tony “G”, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One hundred percent it’s Work ethic . Making sure I’m invested and connected to every project and venture I tackle . My brand is about delivering on time on point and always following through . Being passionate and energetic continues to enhance my style, vibe and overall presentation . When you are a hustler . You learn to adapt to have great communication skills and get the job done . A hard working mentality will never let you down
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My businesses and my brand is all about the actions and obstacles I encounter daily.? Nothing is every easy . Yet I enjoy breaking down walls , new challenges and engaging in new opportunities when it comes to Gfresh Inc, Tony G Casting, Tony G the Choreographer
My journey has had some cracks in the streets and bumpy roads . The beauty to that is .It has kept me focused , driven and responsible for the outcome . Whatever that may be . My business continues to thrive because I never give up .
Having the ability to be creative and keep my mind opened to new challenges or job opportunities. Allows my business and the energy I put in staging , hiring talent and producing to have a certain pop. Me!
As my business opportunities continues to grow . I stay committed to the lessons I have taught myself by being present. . Watch , look , listen , respond and never think you can’t . If you truly open up to the process. You will stay current and relevant and remain a true product of your environment . My creative process never stops. It just evolves .
Work ethic and common sense . A word not used as much . Will remain the most important qualities of my brand , business and who I am. Yet be aware. Some might be threatened by your workflow and workethic. So continue to keep that energy positive.
It’s a toss up of ideas since my mind is always on the go . If a bestie came to visit . It’s about quality time and connecting or reconnecting.
My first choice would be hiking .Once a day . 5k or more. The mountains , trails and hills outside . Bring a sense of calmness and freedom to roam without judgement. So Wilacre Park . Runyon Canyon , Fern Dell Nature Trail , Griffith Park, Elysian Park and more Shopping , window shopping and just being out and about . Is another daily eventful routine . So my friend would have to be 100 percent interested in driving up and down the coast . Santa Barbara to San Diego . Malls , outlets to mom and pop shops . Doing my favorite past time . Spending money .
Let’s not forget eating . I’m Not the best cook in town. Unless you just want some chicken , turkey or rice. So Finding a restaurant, a café sidewalk ,vendor or food truck is always a great time. Bossa Nova in Hollywood ,Thursday food trucks in Noho to the World of Thai in Pacific Beach . If it was a week long visit of eating we would always have someplace to go
Lastly and possibly one of the most important things that I enjoy to do. Is going to a movie, a Broadway show or watching a dope series on Netflix. So my itinerary would involve all of the above that I like to do . Yet I would always always check first to make sure that my friend also gets to visit and do something unexpected or is on a wishlist. So it’s not always just about me and my itinerary.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The support of numerous individuals from family and friends will continue and always be an asset to my success. I will always shout the loudest to my family for just believing and continuing to support my journey . My revolving door of assistants from Chris, Lisa, Glenda, Monica, Liz, Katrina and Cedric deserve shoutouts for just dealing with my quick , get it done , let’s go , do you get it! all over the place brain. I value their talent , assistance and friendship. They have to put up with this engine that never stops. The good the bad the negative the hopeful keeps me engaged with the friends that believe in my success . My boys Tyler and Nick Larson keep me grounded and focused to push on . Big shoutout to Brooklyn Management and the staff at CTG
Yet I will always continue to forever shoutout to myself . My drive , determination, the will to succeed , to learn , continue to grow and be okay to make mistakes. Allows me to be happy and love what I do daily
