We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracey Goldman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracey, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my new business, Breathe Into Bliss, because I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade, and although I’ve experienced a multitude of amazing benefits from both practicing and teaching, I’ve discovered that all of those benefits pale in comparison to the benefits we derive from a daily, consistent meditation and breathing practice. Exercising and relaxing our bodies and minds are obviously important, but we are not just our bodies, or our thoughts. Both are significantly influenced by our breath, and all three are intricately related. We are each a unique whole system, not just parts of the whole. I love helping people discover the styles and techniques of breathing, meditation and physical awareness that work best for them, since not one approach is right for everyone, or every time.
In today’s fast paced, computer driven world, (not to mention, the added challenges of COVID) we are experiencing more anxiety and stress than ever before in our history. I’ve discovered that the best antidote for our chronic stress and overwhelm is a simple but consistent practice of breathing techniques that are proven to quickly and effectively bring the body, mind and breath into a cohesive, balanced, relaxed, healthy state of being.
Breathe Into Bliss is designed to help busy people that want to establish a solid daily meditation practice learn how to find the time and the style best suited for them, and how changing their mindset and the way they breathe can quickly help them feel calmer, clearer, healthier, happier, sleep better, and be more productive so they can have the success they desire and deserve across all areas of their lives. It’s really the simplest and most comprehensive way to find the balance and peace we need in these challenging times and I’m very excited to be able to make a special offer for this course on line very soon.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, for the past decade has been teaching yoga, pranayama and meditation, publicly, privately and in corporate settings. I love helping people increase their self awareness, presence, calm, and mental and physical health through these practices. I’m incredibly grateful to be able to share these benefits with others.
Breathe Into Bliss, is the new online course I’m launching this summer because I know how important a dedicated consistent meditation practice is to our well being. Breathe Into Bliss is unique, in that it’s not just a course that helps you learn to meditate. (Although it absolutely does that). It is designed to teach busy people who think they don’t have time, or whose minds feel too active, to meditate, using a very strategic step by step approach to seamlessly and easily drop into a meditation practice that feels effortless. We begin with the physical bodily sensations, to release the grip of the thinking mind, then explore the breath, and different techniques to attain different results, like relieving anxiety, preparing the body for sleep, balancing the brain, etc before experiencing the more subtle layers (or Koshas) of self. Each day builds upon the previous lesson and each lesson is only 5-15 minutes and available in your inbox to do anytime of day that suits you best. In addition to the ease with which one finds themselves enjoying and benefiting from the meditations, we also create a community of support by embarking on the 28 day journey together, so we can hold each other and ourselves accountable, and have a place to ask questions and receive feedback.
This journey and business has been in the works for a long time. I saw the need for this type of course, when I wanted help establishing a daily practice for myself, after having practiced meditation sporadically for many years. For 20 years, I never found the discipline to make it a daily routine, until just a few years ago. I want to offer this resource because of the significant and undeniable difference meditating daily has made in my life, my relationships, and my health, as it has for hundreds of thousands of other very successful people everywhere.
I was in the process of preparing this course so it could help others, but then 2020 happened. In 2020 I got derailed because my father got cancer, and passed away, then my husband and I decided to split after 20 years of marriage, then COVID hit and we were in lockdown, then, I moved from the home I’d lived in for 17 years raising my son, then my son moved out, and it ALL happened in 2020! I can honestly say that my meditation and breathing practices are what saved me, because even one of those life changes would have been a major traumatic event, but I dealt with many at once and managed to handle them all with grace, ease, and equanimity. I did need to put this project on hold though so that I could allow myself time to process everything.
They say that what challenges us builds strength and resiliency. I am definitely strong, resilient, humbled, and extremely grateful for my life experiences and for my daily meditation practice which kept me calm, grounded and in control of my mental and physical health. Because this practice helped me navigate and overcome all these difficulties I recently faced, I know first hand how much this course can help others who are dealing with their life challenges. I’m hoping that people will be drawn to this course because they see it’s value, and find the courage to challenge themselves to devote those few minutes every day to bring more presence, balance, peace and healing into their lives. In that simple challenge, (yet with lots of support) they will also grow stronger and more resilient to meet the demands and uncertainties of this ever changing life.
This is a difficult time for many of us. Breathe Into Bliss will provide people, in just 28 days, with the tools (backed up by science and research) they need to stay calm, balanced, resilient, present and healthy, so they can have the successes they deserve and desire in their businesses, their relationships and in all aspects of their lives. Please check out the course and sign up to be on the waitlist at www.BreatheIntoBliss.com
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Santa Monica, California, which in my opinion, is one of the best locations in the world. It’s the Mecca for yoga, so if we weren’t in the current pandemic, I’d take any visitor to one of Bryan Kest’s yoga classes (if he was still teaching in SM), and to the Venice boardwalk. Then we’d head to Malibu, for shopping and eating at Cross Creek, and a stroll on the beach. One of the most spectacular spots on this beautiful planet, Big Sur, is also a few hours north up the coast, with high cliffs overlooking the water and a high vibration. Speaking of high vibration, I’d stop at Esalen to soak in the hot tubs and if we had time, we’d even drive all the way back past Santa Monica to Desert Hot Springs to Two Bunch Palms, where I spent a large portion of my young adulthood getting body work, and soaking in the natural artesian hot mineral springs.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many wise and wonderful people, books and experiences, who have influenced me…I’m not able to list them all, but a few who come to mind are Bryan Kest, Annie Carpenter, B.K.S. Iyengar, Judith Hanson Lasater, Pema Chodron, Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, Baba Ram Dass, Don Miguel Ruiz, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Daniel Goleman, Deepak Chopra, Davidji, Suze Yalof Schwartz, Emily Fletcher, all of my students who are my teachers, and of course all of my loving family and amazing friends.
