We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Marie Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria Marie, what do you attribute your success to?
Being unabashedly Authentic. People will be drawn to you or not. Hiding behind someone else’s success to do your work/your business “like they do” does not provide longevity. It does not provide fulfillment. My unique perspective and way in which I share my unique gifts is what draws my client base. Because most people are afraid to be authentically themselves, when I do so it is the secret sauce to my work and my brand. I did not even know being myself would lead to producing my own “brand.” I get to create a positive and uplifting force in the world around me. What I learned about building a business/personal brand, was to define who I am as a person, then live it out as authentically and unrelentingly as possible. Doing so brought about a synergy I could not manufacture. This resulted in memorable and inspiring client relationships. Doing so brought about a new sense of self and pride in the work I do. And that shows.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a guide, as a professional coach, and as a woman who cares for the whole person experience I not only work my own well-being practice, I also offer guidance for your personal well-being: mind, body & spirit. I work with and network with healers and practitioners. The coaching I do is as a carrier of light. I walk just a bit ahead of my clients, holding the light as they step forward to their own expanded growth. Working with people who desire to grow even if they have had past undesirable situations, trauma and uncertainty. Working with people who have had great past situations and are inspired to elevate further. I started in the corporate world. I was successful, but unfulfilled. I felt an empty space. I knew there was something “more,” but I did not know what that more was. I was on a search for awhile. I started to travel and see how other cultures expressed and experienced the world. I kept coming back to a sense of peace within the ideologies of oneness. Learning that there is a connection to all things, and I was part of that connection. I started to feel the emptiness subside and I started to look at more truths and learning. I also learned it is an ever growing process. You never truly arrive, you continue to gain more understanding, clarity and growth. And that I loved. That I understood some where with in my internal system, somewhere within my soul. In those understandings, I also found my insecurities, worries and questions subside and I realized I could share what I was learning. At the time, there was not a clear path to this place today. I did this and that, but I kept following my internal compass of what felt good and true. I ended up leaving corporate work and the financial success, and took a chance on myself and opened my own boutique. “Que Linda” meaning “how beautiful.” And in that space of that boutique I blossomed as a being, a soul and an entrepreneur. In that time and space, a customer asked if I could help her by guiding her the way I was lead to my own growth. I suggested she work with a Life Coach, I knew a few and thought it would be a great path for her. She responded “great! You can be my Coach. Let’s start on Saturday.” I was not a coach. I knew them. I loved the work, but I was not a coach and I advised this customer so. She did not flinch. She was determine to have me become her coach. And thus the certification and eventually the credentials came. I did not let the current situation hold me back. I was being called to do work, and I was curious about how I could offer that to this client and the world. So, I said yes, I followed the path and I have been doing so as me ever since. I do it honestly, I do it authentically, and I do it with the clients greatest interest as the focus. I am a very good Life Coach because I focus on you on your behalf. Even when you won’t, I will hold true to your agenda and moving you forward for you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in the Greater LA Area the places to go and the things to experience: A southern meal at the Preux & Proper in downtown Los Angeles, filled with charm and amazing dishes. The Griffith Park Observatory-scenic views to star-filled experiences. Walk the gorgeous gardens of Descanso Gardens in La Canada. Known as an urban retreat of year-round botanical collections. A bike ride on the Strand of Hermosa, Redondo & Manhattan Beach. Then stop at the end of the day, sit on the sand and watch the sunset against the Pacific Ocean. End an evening in the magical bowls of either Hollywood Bowl or The Greek Theater listening to your favorite musicians. Take a early morning hike through Eaton Canyon or Dukemajian Park. If you choose Dukemajian, stop to take a look at the vineyard on site of the old lumber mill. Take a day stroll through the charming town of Montrose to shop and eat at the quaint restaurants. On Sunday you can shop the Harvest Farmer’s Market from 8 am – 1 pm, And of course, a day at the Getty Museum.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Brave & Empowering Women. Some of them are not well known, the women of my lineage, my mother, sister, women who quietly do what needs to be done to love and support. My sorority sisters of 4 decades that have shown me what it looks like to stand side by side in love and support. And the women who I have worked with through community involvement: LA County Supervisor-Kathryn Barger, Assemblymember-Laura Friedman, 28th District Representative of Congressman Schiff’s – Mary Hovagimian. Vicker Murphy, Senior District Representative at Office of State Senator Anthony J. Portantino. I am grateful for the woman who blazed trails and allowed my path to be a bit easier to forge forward like: Activist-Jane Fonda, Supreme Court Justice-Sonia Sotomayor, Journalist-Gloria Steinem, former First Lady-Michelle Obama, Spiritual Hostess-Oprah Winfrey, Mayors-Keisha Bottoms & Muriel Bower, Supreme Court Jusitce Ruth Bader Ginsburg and so many others. I am drawn to women who stand up for not only themselves, but for those who need a voice to champion on their behalf. Women who have a moral compass to do good for the many, not just the few. Women who will put aside “how it looks” for how it empowers.
