We had the good fortune of connecting with Will Wildfire and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Will, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
So for me, my goal is peace in knowing that I used my gifts fully to the glory of the Most High and in doing so I was also able to provide a way for my family and loved ones. I’d like to be comfortable and taken care of but I know if you seek the kingdom of heaven everything you need will be granted to you.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So what sets me apart from others as a recording artist is that I’m a one stop shop with my music from start to finish. I produce, mix, master, engineer, and write all my records. I don’t know too many artists with that skillset who are blessed to perform on such a high level. Currently, I’m most excited about my EP that’s on the way called Book of Love Vol. 1. It’s my best piece of work yet and there’s even better music coming after that.
It took a lot of work to make it to my current level especially with where I come from. North Carolina hasn’t always been known for its music scene. A big reason I learned to do everything on my own was because there weren’t too many people around to help. Getting signed and moving to California all alone was very difficult but DEFINITELY worth it.
Hard work and the power of YAH can overcome any obstacle. I’ve learned more and more to lean on Him, because He is the source of all strength.
I want the world to know I’m just a vessel, that we should love YAH with all our heart, mind, body, soul, and strength, and we should love our neighbor as ourselves. I’m grateful to be able to do what I love for a living and I hope to become one of the greatest musicians from North Carolina and see where that takes me. I just want to tell honest stories about love and chasing the unseen things so we can get more fulfillment from life and be a blessing to those we see everyday.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So when my best friend came we went to my favorite Mexican place – Tacos el Compita. They have some of the most amazing food I’ve had in LA. We went and got some cool rooftop views, chilled with friends and just absorbed the best energy in LA that we could. We didn’t get to check out all the places I wanted but if we could have we would have hit the beach in Malibu, this nice restaurant called The Village in Studio City, and hit a few live concert spaces. I don’t know enough places to do a weekly itinerary, but there’s always fun to be had if you’re willing to find it.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give all glory and honor to the Most High YAH, my wife Bianca, and my entire support system of friends and family who have helped me reach this far.
