We had the good fortune of connecting with Xavier Beloved and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xavier, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The creation of iiiNTELLEKTual Entertainment actually came from a negative experience I had while working with some creatives in college. I had joined of collective of what I had thought to be like minded artists. Unfortunately we clashed in some of the worst ways and from that toxic space I wanted to create something that would be the complete opposite, I wanted something that felt more like a home than a company.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing about my art is that I’m not bringing you a project or a product, my art is an experience from start to finish. All of my concepts are their own universe of works spanning over many mediums like music, film, fashion, and literature. I’m most proud of my patience within working I’m am dedicated to every aspect of my concepts and I love to see how big the world of one project can expand. I’m so proud of that fact because that wasn’t always me one my biggest challenges I had to maneuver as an artist is my rate of content creation. I always felt that content need to be generated quickly but what I soon found is the quality of the work was seriously lacking so now I’m willing to sacrifice speed for caliber of content. I learned that truthfully people will hate the wait but will be much more thankful for ya efforts which in the long run makes fans connect with you more. Which is my goal as Xavier Beloved and the Goal of iiiNTELLEKTual Entertainment as a brand to connect with people somewhere deeper than entertainment

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Awwwww jeez this is so hard I feel like LA has so many great spots to eat and relax but also some great spots for friends and family. I believe everyone should visit the beach specifically Venice during the day and Dockweilier for a Bonfire at Night. If your in to the whole tourist feel though switch Venice for Santa Monica Pier because the promenade is within close walking distance for shopping. If you want that real LA experience you have to visit the Slauson or Del Amo Swapmeet. Now onto my favorite part FOOD. Los Angeles is known for their Mexican food I always recommend La Barca on Vermont it’s my favorite location or El Tarasco in Redondo Beach. If your looking for something on the healthier side but still want to be full at the end of your meal, 2nd Healthy Eatery, in Bellflower is the way to go it’s a cute lil shop they have vegan and vegetarian options and their Black Owned I love going there. Now a lot of people get on me because Louisiana Charlie’s is not in LA exactly it’s in Long Beach but if you wanna sit down and enjoy a nice dinner that’s also going to make you feel like you took a trip outta town it’s the best. Finally for all my people with a sweet tooth please go grab yourself a scoop of Ken’s Ice Cream in Carson. I’ve been going there since I was a child I love it there so much and it just always feels like home. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would to shoutout The Market Listings: Undefined. They are a black owned mixed media company based out of Atlanta. They’re new to my journey but have been driving force in my success since the inception
