Our community is made up of brilliant artists, creatives and entrepreneurs, but many of them are also dedicated parents and so we asked them an in port at question: If you are a parent, what do you think is the most important thing you’ve done as a parent in terms of the impact on your children?

I’m a mom of a high energy, loving, caring, free spirit, wild and free 4 year old. As a parent the most important thing that I have done is be intentional and be present with my son. Giving him 100% of my time when we are together, paying him my UNDIVIDED attention to his needs, playing with him, going on dates with him. Fully listening and hearing him. We think the most important thing we have done as parents that has impacted out daughter is how we interact with and build our relationships. We continually tell her “If you want good friends, you have to be a good friend” We honestly feel TRUE success is shown in the company you keep. It’s building deep, meaningful and long lasting relationships. It’s knowing you can call numerous people when you’re in trouble knowing they would be there for you in a heart beat. I think the most important thing I have done as a parent is to teach my daughter that the sky is the limit and that you have options. I have raised her to know that you can do anything, and be anything as long as you are willing to do the work that is takes to succeed. I try not to limit myself to just one source of income, because I like to teach my daughter that there are multiple ways to live out your dreams, whether its college, entrepreneurship, going into the work force, you have options and I am going to show you just how many options you have to make your dreams come true.
