Social impact: how does your business help the community or the world?

We asked members of the community how their organizations help the community. We’ve shared some of the responses below.

My work focuses on restoring metabolic health in a population increasingly burdened by preventable chronic disease. Many of the conditions people struggle with—insulin resistance, systemic inflammation, digestive dysfunction, autoimmune presentations, persistent fatigue—are downstream effects of metabolic dysregulation. When we address the root drivers, we improve not only lab markers but also clarity, mood stability, energy, and long-term resilience. Read More>>

Open-Door Playhouse’s impact is that it brings Theater Art to anyone and everyone who has the ability to get access to our plays. We provide a very extensive range of plays, with a very wide view of the people’s perception of the world. I can say that because we have submissions from all over the world. Read More>>

My work helps people take control of their health in a practical, sustainable way. I work primarily with busy professionals who struggle with time, stress, and physical discomfort from modern lifestyles. By improving movement quality, strength, nutrition, and daily habits, I help people reduce pain, prevent chronic disease, and show up better for their families, careers, and communities. Health is not just personal. Read More>>
Technology is no longer just a tool. It has become one of the dominant forces shaping how people think and feel. A lot of the systems we use every day were designed around attention and growth at all costs. And they worked. But the side effects are obvious now. Polarization. Misinformation. A real mental health crisis, especially among younger people. Read More>>

As a psychotherapist I help people restore themselves, their lives, redefine what brings joy to them and loved ones. Through my therapeutic approach; the Anagenesis Method, I help individuals move beyond coping and into true transformation by integrating psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and spiritual practices that access simultaneously the conscious, subconscious, and intuitive mind as well as deeply stored memories. Social impact is at the heart of why we created The Fertility Class. The Fertility Class is an online, on-demand platform offering fertility-focused exercise designed to support the body’s natural rhythms. Through functional, pelvic-centered movement, we help regulate menstrual cycles, support ovulation, ease PMS symptoms, and prepare the body for pregnancy by improving uterine lining health and supporting egg quality. At the heart of the Prayer International Series is connection — spiritual, cultural, and human. Recently, I completed nine El Camino episodes, bringing the total to 36 episodes filmed across multiple countries. Each episode is produced locally, working with regional actors, artists, musicians, and crew members. This model creates immediate opportunities for local creatives while giving them global exposure through international festivals and online platforms. Read More>>

I’m a community ceramics teaching artist, and I lead workshops all over Los Angeles. Domingos De Barro is my favorite. The idea came from imagining my abuelita sitting in one of my classes someday. I wanted something that felt welcoming and familiar: bilingual, open to all ages, and held on a Sunday, when families are already together and spending time with each other. Read More>>

At Speech Care Co., I truly feel like our impact goes beyond just working on speech and language. A big part of what we do is helping families move from a place of fear and uncertainty to a place of relief, confidence, and understanding. I’ve seen so many parents come in feeling scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what’s going on with their child. Read More>>

As an artist, curator, gallery director, and book editor, my work has always been guided by one central intention: to produce and share beauty. Through exhibitions, publications, and collaborative projects, I strive to create spaces where people can gather around art — spaces that offer not only visual pleasure, but depth, reflection, and connection. We live in a turbulent time, in which civility and conversation between those of differing views has precipitously dropped. A recent survey reveals that 91% of employees have witnessed or experienced incivility in the workplace, with only 25% believing that managers know how to handle it. (Another 51% believe that political views influence their ability to get ahead.) Ignoring this situation is not a strategy. Read More>>

Social impact, for me, means building stability behind creativity. I help entrepreneurs and artists protect what they’re building so their work can have long-term generational impact. I’m also developing a philanthropic platform rooted in family legacy and education, with a focus on empowering creatives through financial literacy and opportunity. When people feel secure, they create more boldly — and that ripple effect strengthens entire communities. Read More>>

Although I’m primarily known for short form comedy, I’m very intentional about what my platform does for the viewer. My content isn’t just about humor, but about permission. Permission to be weird, unpolished, vulnerable, and fully yourself in a digital world that often feels overly curated and comparison driven. I make a conscious effort to show all sides of myself, not just the polished moments. Read More>>
