Success has always been difficult for me to wrap my head around. I used to think success meant winning awards or becoming famous. I define success by measuring the amount of intrinsic purpose and fulfillment felt. I think often times society equates success to big houses, fancy cars, a prestigious career, the spouse, the kids, etc. These things are definitely valuable and nice to have. I feel the most successful when I’m happy. I’ve gone through many different phases in my business, months where I was incredibly busy and others that were painfully slow.
