We had the good fortune of connecting with Sydnie Chandler Monet’ Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sydnie Chandler Monet’, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As a Social Entrepreneur and Purpose Driven Influencer and the Founder/CEO of The Perfect Timing Org and Live Your Future Educated – LYFE; I usher in a new generation of young influencers, celebrities, innovators, and nonprofits on social impact projects by offering a safe platform for them to share their inspiring stories. Perfect Timing Podcast was established during the pandemic after the growing limitations of youth social platforms. I am passionate to continue to build on my platform that is inclusive to everyone’s needs by providing entrepreneurs and leaders a voice to inspire confidence, empowerment, and inspiration.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

In April 2020, during the pandemic, I was challenged by my mother to create a platform that severed the youth in the community after the growing limitations of youth social platforms. I then took time to brainstorm and develop a social media platform for GEN Z that cultivates and embraces our differences, which is how Perfect Timing Podcast was created.

A non-profit business that is on a mission for young innovators, entrepreneurs, scholars, authors, activists, and public speakers to share how they took risks to build a business that they could thrive in while making an impact on the world by uplifting and empowering youth in schools and communities with tools to improve themselves by believing that they can overcome all obstacles.

I’ve faced many challenges as a new business owner, from sponsorship, to equipment and securing potential guests, but what I had to understand is that with every success there are growing pains. The advice that I would provide to any young entrepreneur is to do your research, study and surround yourself with people that support and believe in your dream, so that if you face any challenges, you are able to move beyond the disappointments. My biggest lesson learned is when you fail, get back up and start over. Never let your loss stop your growth keep pushing forward because when you keep looking back it slows you down.

For every experience there is a lesson and if I can open the door and make an impact for one then they will open the door for another, which means we are passing the torch and the flaming will continue burning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would ensure that my schedule is clear so that I can accommodate her visit. I would share my favorite things that I love to do. I would plan a trip to the beach and spend time talking, laughing, and crying over the things that we aren’t able to share together due to the distance. I would take her to my favorite seafood restaurant where she can experience the best homemade crab cakes. We would then go to New York to catch a Broadway Show, shop, and then go to an amusement park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am humbled and beyond grateful for having found such amazing organizations like Women of Excellence (WOE) and Save A Girl, Save A World (SAGSAW) for their presence in my life. Mrs. Tatonya Holman the CEO of WOE has empowered me to become the leader that I am today by providing me with opportunities to be among strong women/mentors who influenced me to be unapologetic about my passions and inner black beauty. SAGSAW CEO, Ms. Glenda Gill, who I met a year ago through SAGSAW’s SHE CEO Virtual Training, recognized my talents and offered me experiences and cultural exposures while fostering sisterhood with SAGSAW College Mentors/Mentees and telling me to give myself grace and forgiveness. Ms. Gill has since added me to the SAGSAW team as their Communications Intern, where I release a monthly podcast episode in support of the organization mission. This Shoutout wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention my #1 cheerleader, who is my best friend, my momager, to put it simple, my beautiful mom Mrs. Yvette Collins. No matter how much she has on her plate she always shows up and puts her family first as she provides me with life skills and words of affirmation to strengthen my faith to succeed.
