We asked some of the most inspiring folks in the community to tell us where they want to be professionally by the end of their careers.
Claire Goodman | Co-Owner
The end goal is to own multiple boutiques. We would like to see GoodLove expand within the year, but regardless of when, we know that we will come to own a few GoodLove(s). They may all be a little different, as our store aims to cater to the women in our town and every town is different, but they will all foster the same concept: comfort counts. In terms of where I want to be professionally by the end of my career: I want to have created more than just stores. I want to create a community of women who aren’t afraid to love themselves and their bodies, no matter how imperfect they are. I want to empower women, of any age, to follow their dreams, to wear the bikini, to roll with the punches, to be confident, and to know that it is okay to not be okay. I want our brand to represent honesty. It is not good vibes all the time. It is okay to not like what you see in the mirror. It is okay to have a normal body. Read more>>
Julia Jade | Singer-Songwriter & Educator
This is such a fun question with an ever-changing answer. There are tangible pieces like: I’ve always wanted to play the Greek Theatre, be a musical host on SNL, go on an international tour, etc. However, there is also the more overarching goal which is to be able to use my music as a vehicle for social change and to partner with organizations in order to make music education more accessible — and lift up the voices of those who are going unheard. Because of this, I’m actually in the process of applying to some Masters programs in order to be well-versed and able to work in educational settings and non profits, as I want to be a performer (singer-songwriter), but also really want to make change. I’ve always said I have too many dreams, but I feel lucky that they all seem to intersect in a really beautiful way. Read more>>

I write songs that I hope will empower people to stand up for themselves and others. I want to help people find their voice, walk their own path and know their worth. Read more>>
Jyelynn | Animator & Traditional Artist
As much as I hope Jyelynn never has an end, no matter what happens, I just hope she can help as many people as possible. My dream is for her to have her own cartoon series (Hopefully some video games too lol) that leaves a healthy and fun impact on the cartoon world. I want her to have a legacy. I would love to see her sitting with the greats like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Champloo or Steven Universe! If she can make someone happy for just one second or teach someone a life changing lesson, I feel like my job is done. 🙂. Read more>>
