We had the good fortune of connecting with Jyelynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jyelynn, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
As much as I hope Jyelynn never has an end, no matter what happens, I just hope she can help as many people as possible. My dream is for her to have her own cartoon series (Hopefully some video games too lol) that leaves a healthy and fun impact on the cartoon world. I want her to have a legacy. I would love to see her sitting with the greats like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Champloo or Steven Universe! If she can make someone happy for just one second or teach someone a life changing lesson, I feel like my job is done. 🙂

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
By looking at my sketchbooks, I would like to put Jyelynn in a “Storytelling” category. She’s a girl that lives in a dream world. A lot of adventures and stories to tell. A lot of love and blessings to share. The only challenges i’ve ever really struggled was probably getting in my own way. I let my anxiety get in the way sometimes. Honestly thats ok to admit, I know lots of people who have the same struggles with their dreams. I’ve learned the greatest rewards come from the biggest leaps of faith. Even with anxiety, The journey has been really nice. For the last few years, I’ve been trying to meet more artist friends and polish Jyelynn digitally. I hope in he future to use Jyelynn to help people in any positive way possible. Weather you’re looking for a cool story to follow or a lesson you can take with you on your journey… or maybe you just want to smile really quick, I want Jyelynn to be there for all that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hands down, the first place to go is Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. My friends and I are super anime/ Video game nerds so we could spend alllllll day at there. besides all the really dope stores, There’s an amazing arcade on the third story of the Little tokyo mall. It’s an old school arcade, Bowling alley, Bar and restaurant all in one! If you are into Manga and other great books, you have to check out Kinokuniya then directly under is the best grocery store with the largest Pocky collection i’ve ever seen! The anime jungle is dope and right across is a rare video game/card shop that everyone must see! In the little Tokyo plaza, There is a sushi spot next door to the Sanrio store, Easily the best sushi spot. If sushi is not in the plans, Orochon Raman has everything you need lol. On Wednesday and Saturdays in the City of Industry, Frank and Sons collectible show is where to be. I always tell everyone it’s like Disneyland for gamers, comic book collectors and anime lovers. They also have Card tournaments for all my magic players out there. Los Angeles is just a beautiful place in general, There is never a beach, street or restaurant to not adventure to 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I always first give gratitude and thanks to the universe. These beautiful opportunities and blessings would not be possible. Next i’d like to thank my parents for teaching me its ok to be yourself. They are both musicians and artists at heart. The best part of growing up was drawing with my family. They always kept me doing something creative weather it was drawing, building computers with my dad, playing some sort of instrument. They always kept my imagination alive and never in one spot. I’d also like to thank any supporter of Jyelynn. The amount of support is unbelievable at times, I could never thank everyone enough.
