We had the good fortune of connecting with Armand Puszta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Armand, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
That if you go to a fashion week from an other city, either milan, paris or london, you need to get like 4-5 shows to make some profit(except if it is one of the biggest shows because then it pays better), otherwise if you get less than that, you might not even balance your agency fees out.

Isaac Anthony

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been working as a fashion model since 2016, I have worked for various shows and magazines which Im really greatful for. This let me travel the world and see different places and people and experience different lifestyles. What sets me apart from others is that I have been actively practicing parkour for 3 years now and I want to saturate my modeling options with this skill as I want to introduce the freedom of movement to more people.
The biggest challenge in being a full a time model was the stress about the uncertainty of the amount of gigs I would get, that I would never know if I would even get a job when I go to a new city.
What I learned is that it is always good to be open to new people and new experiences. Appreciate what I have, try to find things I enjoy even when not everything goes the way I planned and also thrive to become better in things I do.
I have also been doing illustrations since forever and although it is not connected to my profession I would love to share my art with as many people as possible. When I make a piece I usually have a feeling about what I want but I rarely specify what it is gonna be. It is usually a big blur in my head as I start sketching with either a chill/hyped up/melancholic or more profound vibe about it. I like to let it unfold as I draw and just let my art itself give me ideas for new characters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
-Definitely take them to szimpla kert the ruin bar where they have live jam every week. -Take them hiking up the hills right next to the city at Normafa or Buda Hills.
-Go for a swim at the Széchenyi Thermal Bath.
-Buy some food and sit down next to the Danube River.
-Take them to see the Pálvölgyi cave which is also only half hour from the city centre.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family for sure, my mom and dad, my brother and my wife. They always supported me doing what I wanted, being there for me all the time which I can not thank them enough for! Also credit goes for my friend Soma Őri aka Shen for plugging me in with shoutoutla check him out on spotify.
