We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Gross and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I do not believe in the work/life balance. I believe in working hard, accomplishing goals, making sacrifices. Once you have these firmly in-hand, the life part becomes even more incredible than previous. My work and the relationships through my work have lead to incredible life experiences. My life experiences have opened doors to even more opportunities. Time spent in the “finding balance” aspect is time wasted, in my opinion. Those who work hard and are consistent find their lives to be fruitful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them for a drive up PCH, with many stops along the way… So many little places to stop, so many views. Los Angeles is a driving city, and it is important to take someone special out to see all of the incredible places Southern California has to offer.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to my mentor, Angelica Cob-Baehler, who we lost a few years ago. I am incredibly grateful and thankful for her guidance and time when she was with us. I would not be where I am without what she did to help me.
