We had the good fortune of connecting with Case Kenny and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Case, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Without risk, there is no reward. I fundamentally believe this.
More so, I also believe in the power of altering your expectation for yourself and EXPECTING positive outcomes. I replace assumptions of bad luck, failure, rejection, etc. with expectations of positive outcomes. It’s amazing what can happen when you train yourself to expect more positive outcomes than assume bad ones. That replaces a “me vs. the world” mentality with something a bit more compassionate and hopeful 🙂
I’ve also realize the power of not seeing change as risk. I simply see risk as transition…. and there’s something much more inherently optimistic about simply labeling change as transition instead of risk.
I know that there are optimistic outcomes and hopeful opportunities on the other side of those transitions.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is selling mindfulness journals/products – https://newmindsetwhodis.com/
It hasn’t been easy and took me many many many years to find my grove (started in 2014).
What really propelled the business forward was creating a product that I would use and going from there. I created my journals to solve a problem I saw in the journaling market – most journals are either too prompted or too unprompted. That frustrated me personally because I really wanted to journal but couldn’t find something that worked for me. SO, I created my own and put my full passion, creativity and marketing behind it to make it work… and it did!
It’s amazing what can happen when you create something from a place of personal inspiration and you then take the time and energy to get feedback to make it better… and you SOLVE problems with it.
Journaling should be simple and free from pressure. It should be hopeful catharsis and that’s why I designed my journals to help users “catch feelings for themselves.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d dedicate it to anyone who has listened to my podcast or supported me – literally millions of listeners and subscribers who I don’t know personally but their support has completely changed my life. I would be nowhere without them and their support.
