We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Dory Olivier Croft and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel Dory, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As entertainers, the pandemic totally changed our life, socially and economically, overnight. Without any clear indications of when we would get our life back to normal, launching our business and retake control of our fate was a no brainer. Instead of mourning, we wanted to recreate hope and make something good out of this once-in-a-lifetime crisis. It was also a great opportunity to create something together. We find in our couple a lot of inspiration. We’ve seen that we can get the best out of each other ; this great energy would definitely be one of our key to success.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are very proud to be succeeding in America, coming both from different countries, Daniel being Canadian and Olivier, French. We think that our multicultural background, definitely helped fuel our success. It was not easy obviously but that what entrepreneurship is all about after all.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hanging out in Silver Lake, eat some spicy fried shrimps at Catch LA with one of their signatures cocktail, eat a piece of cake at Porto’s, hiking at runyon canyon, visit Getty museum, observatory, DTLA art district and watching sunset at Laguna beach.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Olivier’s mother has been very inspiring for us. She passed away in 2018 after 2 years battling cancer. During her fight, she prove to be an incredible force, always trying to stay positive. She never gave up and we definitely relied on her story and strength when we had to deal with the current crisis.
