We had the good fortune of connecting with Farrah LaRaé and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Farrah, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I come from a family of creatives and entrepreneurs who are passionate about starting businesses and changing lives through creativity. Being a part of the foundational stages for many of these businesses, I was always the person everyone trusted to help bring their vision to life. From doing admin work to graphic designs, web design, training, social media management, outreach and more, I was able to grow and develop my own resources along the way. As I got older, I realized how truly passionate I was about helping entrepreneurs and “want-reprenuers” build their business and develop the skills needed to succeed. I started my Public Relations & Marketing firm (Elite Performance) to help businesses gain exposure, but I quickly noticed how many people were drawn to me and my services, but didn’t have the budget for a retainer. With this in mind I decided to develop an educational program coupled with a community called The Elite Society. Through the program, students not only gain insight to laying a successful foundation in their business, but also developing useful networking tools, creative resources and connect with like-minded individuals to create a sense of support. The primary objective of The Elite Society is to give creatives the tools necessary to build theirselves up enough to need our PR services then we can take them further!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have spent the last 10+ years developing brands through public relations, graphic design, social media marketing and strategic planning. As the CEO of Elite Performance PR & Marketing, my number one goal is to push business owners and creatives to achieve their dreams. Coupled with the firm is our educational training program and supportive community called The Elite Society. Anyone is welcome to join our online community via Facebook and participate in our courses through our 6 week curriculum that focuses on the development stages of branding, how to target ideal customers, the proper tools for content creation, brand enhancement and more.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I recently moved to Tempe, Arizona from Las Vegas, so I’m still learning the lay of the land but I’d love to share a few of my faves.
To kick things off in Arizona we’re headed to Scottsdale, the Beverly Hills of Arizona! If you’re like me, breakfast is a must and also an absolute fave. There is this fabulous place called “The Breakfast Club” that serves amazing breakfast and brunch options complete with delicious smoothies! Take a stroll after breakfast through the Scottsdale Fashion Square where some of my favorite shops live including Bottega Venetta, David Yurman, Zara, Gucci, Michael Kors, St. John and more. The Square is filled with amazing shopping options and an array of fun things to do. We can stop by Selfie World and take some fabulous pics then grab a drink at the Boba Tea Company to refresh after. From there, it’s always fun to peek into the Desert Stages Theater for a live performing arts production.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can honestly say that my daughter has pushed me so much further in my businesses and what I do as a 2x podcast host, blogger, author, serial entrepreneur and more. I have always been a highly motivated person and have thought about the future my whole life, but when I found out I was pregnant with my sweet baby girl it truly changed everything. I learned that I was stronger than I knew, I have more love, compassion and insight than I gave myself credit for and most of all, I learned that I truly can have it all. The will to do more, be better, try harder and not be afraid to start again came from the love she pours into me. I see how much she relies on me and how proud she is of me when I succeed. I’m inspired by her in so many more ways than one.
