We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff & Karen Prugh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeff & Karen, what do you attribute your success to?
More than anything, we strive to be as friendly and hospitable as we can, in each and every interaction. Also, doing all things with a genuine passion is key not only to repeat business but also to enjoying the day-to-day work.
Please tell us more about your business. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way.
Nothing about opening and running a small business is easy. Each day, we are faced with unexpected challenges, be it with staffing or scheduling, delivery delays, broken equipment, slower-than-normal business due to Covid, you name it. This said, we keep our heads up, do the work, and keep going. The challenge is what makes it fun and worthwhile.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
After stopping at Hi-Fi for a coffee and Upper West, we’d head to Palos Verdes for a hike overlooking the ocean. Take out from Bettolino Kitchen or Gabi James for dinner would round out the day.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to Knocko Nolan. Not only was he our very first supporter 3.5 years ago, but he continues to regularly support and spread the word about us and extend his love as a true friend.
