We had the good fortune of connecting with Lord KraVen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lord, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?

“Everything that I need and desire that is in divine alignment with my purpose, the manifestation of my dreams, and that serves my higher self and for the greater good, is flowing to me freely, expeditiously, and abundantly.”, is one of my favorite go-to daily affirmations, among many others, that I have written to affirm to myself.

Speaking affirmations every morning are a part of my daily routine along with meditation, exercise and a cup of Folgers coffee.(lol) Speaking  affirmations is a healthy practice that supports not only my mental health but  my spiritual growth as well. By doing so, I feel empowered, fearless, and excited about my future and the discovery of my untapped potential and gifts. Whether it be goals in love, career, or finances, speaking positive affirmations, along with believing in myself, then taking the right course of action, has been my recipe for manifesting my dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Every since I was a kid, I always enjoyed singing in school and church choirs.  Although I was extremely shy, I’ve always dreamed of being a on stage and on t.v. I would sing in front of the bathroom mirror, using my brush or toothbrush as my microphone, pretending to be my music idols Prince Luther Vandross, James Brown and so many others. I was a character growing up. (lol). I enjoy entertaining people. Making them laugh, cry

Sharing my gift and story with the world and becoming a TV/Film star; like my idols Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Yul Brenner, is all I ever dreamed of. So In 2000, I moved to Los Angeles with my grandma and little bro from Chattanooga, TN to pursue my dreams in entertainment indusrty. There have been a lot of “no’s” on my journey, but every “yes’s” I count as a victory that gives me continual hope to keep following my dreams and passions.

From having my original music featured on Fox “So You Think You Can Dance” for four seasons, to guest starring on the Netflix original, NAACP Image award winning comedy series, “Family Reunion”, to Emmy award winning dramas, “ER” and “The Young & The Restless”, to portraying the role of the beloved Genie in the “Adventures of Aladdin” have all been dreams come true.

I hope that when people think of me or the name “Lord KraVen”, that it becomes synonymous with the definition of love and honor.

In the entertainment industry, I find being grounded is key. Knowing who you are staying steadfast on your principles and morals will give you the anchor, balance and confidence you need to navigate through any industry in any capacity. Having self-respect and knowing your worth is equally vital.

Over the course of my career I have invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears to accomplish the things I have and to be where I am today. Sometimes I stood with others and sometimes I stood alone. It can be exhausting, tiresome and lonely when you have to stand up and fight for yourself. To make your place or your mark. My battles and life experiences that I have and still learning from make me more wiser and stronger. Although I have a long way to go in my career, I am encouraged by thinking of my past accomplishments that serves as a reminder, to myself, that the best is still yet to come. And that I have the potential to accomplish great things in this lifetime, should I continue to believe.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA is one of the best cities in the world. It’s a beautiful fun place saturated with beautiful creative individuals from all different walks of life. The varieties of food and cool chic spots to hangout and party at are endless. The hilltop views and the beache sunsets are gorgeous and romantic. It’s all about the vibe for me (smile)

Some of my favorite spots to hangout in LA is Soho House, Santa Monica and Malibu Pier, Venice Beach, Universal City Walk, The Grove, Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon.

I enjoy having drinks, fine dining and a great hot dog or burger joint. From the Chateau Marmont to Pink’s Hotdog to Bludsoe’s BBQ, to Malibu Seafood, I love them all and everything in between (lol). Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicated my Shout-out to my beautiful baby brother, Andre Louis Linear, who exemplifies true strength and love.
