We had the good fortune of connecting with Lori Bregman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lori, what is the most important factor behind your success?
As A doula for almost 20 years, I would say there are a few things behind my success. First being that I am so passionate about what I do and I truly believe that I am doing my souls purpose. I also build deep relationships and strong bonds with my clients and provide a ton of mind, body and spirit support and care. As a doula, I have never just been about birth, for me its always been about the whole journey. The more supported they are the better and more relaxed they will feel and so will their baby within. Lastly, I love creating whether it’s writing my books ( “The mindful mom to be”, Mamaste” “The doula deck” ( launching March 2021), creating my mindful mom to be 12-week virtual online group coaching program, making awesome healing blends for my Seedlyfe smoothie company or creating a product line that I am currently working on. I love providing tools and products that help women live a healthier, happier more empowered life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a doula, life, wellness and women’s empowerment coach, Author and co-founder of Seedlyfe smoothie blends. I have been practicing for almost 20 years and have done almost 1,000 births. I use to be a massage therapist specializing in prenatal massage and studied all kinds of healing modalities. When I was taking my massage training they told us about a doula training so I signed up but didn’t do anything with it right away. During that time while I was learning I would always think about how I could gear this towards pregnancy. Whether it was taking my yoga training, energy work, studying the chakras, spiritual coaching, nutrition, or the healing properties of food. When I would massage my pregnant mamas I would notice how much they were going through emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually and started to coach them and give them holistic remedies for their ailments. Years later I was on a yoga retreat with my friend Seane Corn in Mexico and I saw a vision of books, products, classes, yoga, and massage followed by the words “Rooted for Life”. During the talking circle at the end of the retreat, I proudly announced I am opening a pregnancy center called rooted for life. Little did I know That I was actually the pregnancy center and I created a pregnancy program called Rooted for life that has since become my Mindful Mom to be book. Building my business was easy, I believe when you alined with your passion and purpose things fall into place easily and effortlessly. I have built most of my business from word of mouth, through my books, products, and on social media (@Lbreggy instagram). I feel with covid women are not getting the care and attention from their Doctors and with so many unknowns they need connection and support now more than ever. That’s why I created my Mindful mom to be 12-week virtual group coaching program. next one is launching October 6th 2020

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Topanga so for sure we would start off most days with an early morning hike or yoga on my deck that is nestled in the trees. I would for sure take them for either lunch or dinner at the Inn Of The Seventh Ray. We would go for a cocktail during sunset at the Soho House Malibu, dinner at Nobu malibu and The Ivy at the shore is a staple for out of towners. I would definitely take them to the Hollywood Bowl or The Greek theater to see a concert. Tomoko Japanese Spa for massages and Pellequr for a luxurious Koren body scrub followed by a CBD massage, shopping on Robertson and in Beverly Hills, and while over there happy hour at the Beverly Hills hotel polo lounge. And if they wanted more pampering I would take them to see my amazing facial woman Dayle Breault – The Goddess of skin here in Topanga.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to all my clients I have had the honor to support. Each one of them has taught me something new. No two births, women, relationships, families, or children are the same so I am grateful for the gift of constantly learning and growing. To all the amazing doctors, midwives and nurses I get to work with. A shout out to my teacher Michele Meiche, I would not be who or where I am today without her guidance. To Kristen Kosinski for helping organize me and flush out ideas while writing my programs and books.
