We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas Dolan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicholas, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
For me, the most important thing in life is love. I know that sounds cheesy, but it is truly the backbone of my life. No matter what background, how much money you make, your religion, social class, etc. we all as humans crave love. We all want to love someone, and to feel loved by someone.
However, it goes deeper than that. I, over the past year, have truly lived my life through love. What I mean by that is, I do everything I do in my life, with the intent of love. When I walk down the street, I walk with love, saying hi to someone, at work, playing sports, working out, talking to other people. This does not mean I walk around with a smile 24/7. I simply am just living. No judgments, no sitting in traffic flipping people off, I just live. Period. I look at nature. I never used to look around me. I was too stressed with the issues of life. Now I notice the flowers blooming, the beautiful green grass, the trees providing that coolness on a hot day.
I know this sounds fairytale, but by me “living through love” I carry a certain aura, or energy with me. And others have seen it. I attract people by my energy. I have met people, we have collaborated, networking, legitimate networking and business opportunities are starting to arise. I am not a suck up or a brown noser I am simply Nicholas Frank Dolan. Living life through love.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of becoming an actor and owning my own business. I am Irish American. I started in San Francisco, then Ireland, then eventually made the move to Hollywood. It was not easy, I was scared, but it was the best decision I ever made. Sometimes in life, you have to make that jump.
The only risk in life is not risking it. I have that on my living room wall. Now I am an up and coming actor, and my business is beginning to make waves.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots are The Grove, which is a famous location, Molly Malones Irish pub, which is the first pub I ever visited when I arrived, and spire 73, which is the tallest rooftop bar in the Western Hemisphere. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my beautiful girlfriend Ale Ramona Jimenez Herrera. She has provided immense support and motivation for me. She wants to grow through life with me, as I do with her. She is an amazing woman. She is truly a genuine woman on this planet. Sometimes you meet someone and you see a light in them that you don’t see in others, and that is my girlfriend. We all have certain people that come in and change your whole life. And my Ale did that for me. I cannot thank her enough.
