We had the good fortune of connecting with Olga Reding and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olga, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I launched Olga’s Organics with the mission to provide the world with the first truly certified organic makeup. I wanted to do this because when I went out looking for really clean beauty products I couldn’t find one’s I could trust, even in the “healthy” stores. Makeup at that time was still made with chemicals, and that’s if you could even find the ingredient list. So it all started with trust. I craved it and I knew others would too, so I set out to develop a USDA Organic recipe that I tested for years before launching my company. The benefit of using USDA Organic products is that we are supporting farming practices that are safer and cleaner for our environment. Studies have shown organic plants to have higher antioxidant ratings than conventionally grown plants, so organic plants are healthier too! It just makes sense to me to bring the best out of mother nature and it shows as our top selling product since we’ve launched has been our Organic Loose Face Powder. There’s nothing like it on the market and we’re still the ONLY usda organic certified makeup product in the world. We don’t have a huge marketing budget like our competitors and we rely on word or mouth from our amazing and passionate customers.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of our customers and how they have helped us spread the word! We basically have no marketing budget, no investors, no trust fund, yet we have been able to consistently grow our company year after year because we have the most passionate and loving customer base of any company. I try to remind them how important they are and how they should be so proud to be an early adopter of organic makeup. We have a lot of exciting announcements coming in 2021 and I truly want to make the people who have been with us from the beginning proud. Anytime a new product is introduced into the marketplace you’ll have a huge learning curve but the people who have been supporting us to date are doing their own research and are passionate about what they put on their skin day after day. There are companies now who are taking these trendy terms like “clean beauty” and “non toxic” and are doing what we call “Greenwashing” which is essentially a marketing technique used to make you think what you’re buying is what you’re looking for, when in fact, that product is more similar to the toxic crap that lead me to create my own company. Our customers now this, and we receive so many emails of thanks for providing a truly clean product that they can feel safe putting on their skin.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My husband used to live in Los Angeles, and we both visited a year ago and had a wonderful time. We loved going to the beach and walking the boardwalk! We love live music and there’s no better place in the world! There is so much to do the possibilities are endless!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Brian!! He has been with me since day one on this and encouraged me to pursue this company. He has been in the background in every way from our graphics and logo design, to our formalization as a company. He really see’s the vision of being able to provide the world with the cleanest possible products and without his support we wouldn’t be where we are today!
