Meet Rasheed Louis: Entrepreneur & Marketer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rasheed Louis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rasheed, what role has risk played in your life or career?
In 10 years of running my business, I have learned that there are levels of risks with success and growth levels. When I was younger in my journey, I had mentors that would give me business advice, and it would all sound hard and negative. I would think to myself that the growth I wanted was never going to happen for me. It wasn’t until I matured that I learned they were not telling me it would not happen, but I would face things that are non-avoidable even if I was prepared. I would have to choose to go through these challenges to have the success I wanted. Those moments of choice would be risks that would show up at every level of growth and failure, whether building a team or doing deals with long-term gains but short-term losses. Taking risks is a part of the game, but your level at which you play and view risks determine how much you grow; there is no reward without risk.
What should our readers know about your business?
My Company, We Are Epiphany is a content creation agency. We specialize in graphics, videos, and content for social media. We build large and small campaigns. One of the things that set us apart is that our focus is always on the story and the impact it will leave, whether it’s how we design graphics for an ad or videos for the commercials we shoot. Every story has an audience, and every audience Is waiting for a story to be told. When I started this company 10 years ago, I never really thought about the type of projects we would create or the places I would go to or even the people I would work with. I just knew that I wanted to create something that matters; one of the things that I’m most proud of is the diversity in the teams that I work with, the work that we’ve created together. There have been challenges getting to this point, whether it be culture clashes or things in the industry-changing but, always staying committed to the vision guided me to this point and will guide me to future goals and help me fulfill purpose-driven work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places were Perch LA’s great food and the LA museums’ environment when they were open and movie theatres.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In my life, from where I started to where I am now, the words mentorship, support, and help have changed and evolved; I have found great mentorship in many entrepreneurs and relationships. But for me, the constant push has been my faith as a Christian. But outside of that the books, I have found wisdom and direction in have been 3 Feet from Gold, The Go-Giver, The Alchemist, Rich dad, poor dad, and The 10x Rule. My mentors have great leaders and entrepreneurs such as Troy Hoffman, Claudia cooley, Wallace Allen, and Torrian Scott. They have all played important parts in my development and growth.
