Elsa Elbert | CEO & Organizing Expert

At Composed Living, we are passionate about creating organized spaces because we believe in the healing power of our surroundings. It is our mission to help people, especially the most vulnerable amongst us, experience the joy and comfort of living in a safe, comfortable space. Through our partnerships with various non-profits, items that no longer serve a purpose in our clients’ homes are given a second life, which creates less waste and directly benefits those in need. We give both our time and a portion of our proceeds to charities with missions that include supporting foster children and helping homeless families get back on their feet. We take the extra time at the end of each project to sort through everything, and we deliver donations by category to the charities who need them most. Read more>>

Bars and Restaurants could be described by some as the heart and soul of a neighborhood. MiniBar Hollywood’s mission statement was to add a service that elevated the neighborhood, and to provide the neighbors with the service and the warm and welcoming space they deserved. I fully think we accomplished that, and now we have been here long enough to have seen and shared in the cycle of life- we have had first dates, proposals and engagements, we have had regulars get married and have children, and unfortunately we have had some regulars pass along to the next world, thought their spirits remain with us. The neighborhood was quick to adopt the bar and treat it as their own, which is all we could ever ask for. Read more>>

Frndlyware provides affordable and sustainable drinking straws to reduce the world’s reliance on single-use plastics and to provide an alternative solution to the environmental crisis. We take the unused fibers from sugarcane stalks along with coffee and cacao beans and combine them to make a durable yet compostable material. Being made from 100% organic materials means our straws don’t overstay their welcome, breaking down 145 days after use. Each Frndlyware straw used is one less harmful plastic utensil that is added to the eco-system. Frndlyware hopes to replace all single-use plastic straws to foster the health of our environment and take charge in the consumer revolution to nurture a healthy planet for future generations. Alaine Fulton | Entrepreneur & Technology Advisor for Businesses

We think of Safe Haven Solutions as the premier solutions provider for Digital Transformation, helping businesses navigate the disruption of our world during this pandemic. With Covid-19 still looming over our community, the world, and the Internet, collaboration tools and security measures are more critical than ever to helping our global economy. The world’s most valuable resource is no longer oil, but data. Hackers and terrorist organizations are capitalizing on the lack of security in many businesses and institutions. Additionally, natural disasters are crippling businesses that do not have backups or comprehensive recovery plans in place. The Internet of Things (IoT), including self-driving cars and self-regulating homes, is part of our new world and no longer an idea just in the future. And the list goes on…! Read more>>

Alicia Spillias | Musician & Owner

Music has the incredible power to heal, and now more than ever, I’m seeing just how true that is. Because my colleagues and I have been adversely impacted in regards to the vast majority of our work – which includes everything from private events, concerts, recording sessions, etc – due to the restrictions on gatherings, we have had to adapt in major ways. After months of not performing we decided to try putting on socially-distanced neighborhood concerts so we could bring music to our communities while at the same time satisfying our growing need to perform for an audience. We had no idea how successful it would be, nor how much of an effect it would have on people. We’ve now participated in several of these types of concerts and it’s been a great morale boost, to say the least. Read more>>

Beth Rubenstein | Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacher & Physical Therapist

When a person can move through life with greater ease strength and grace expand and stress and anxiety decrease. My intention for my students is that they are able to follow their hopes and dreams and that they live with more options and choices. They become better connected to themselves. When an individual is more connected to themselves, they become more connected to those in their own community, country, and the world. It might be said that a person cannot change the world until he changes himself. I am a child of the 60’s. I decided at a very early age that I wanted to stamp out disease and save mankind. My interest led me to physical therapy where I could work with injured children and adults, help them live their best life. Read more>>

Trish Healy | Founder & CEO

WonderTent Parties began in early 2017 with the adoption of our then 14 year old daughter out of the LA foster care system and her simple request to experience her very first sleepover. Wanting to give her and her friends a memory making experience, I set about creating something truly unique and memorable and in doing so, WonderTent Parties was born. Having worked at the executive level in the business world, meeting Celia through the non-profit Kidsave – who helps older, forgotten kids in foster care find forever families – was a life changing experience both personally and professionally. As a first time Mom to a teen I knew that if I was going to start my own business I wanted it to have a strong give back component. Read more>>

Yasmine Verberckt | Clinical Hypnotherapy & Reiki

Ultimately my work is about making people feel good by truly feeling like themselves. Whether by removing anxiety, sleeping better, attracting a better partner, improve communication or overall mindset. Once a person feels good, speaks their truth and honor their boundaries; it has a direct impact on the people around them. We all know that when we feel good, we speak to our loved ones in a lighter and easier way, we make better feeling decisions and now those people get to feel better and therefore have a more positive and joyful impact on the people around them. It becomes this genuine positive snowball effect in a family, a workplace, a community. When 1 person does better, every person that in some form has a connection, benefits as well. This is literally the pay off of ‘BE the change you’d like to see in the world’. Read more>>

Anna Kalachyan | Artist & Marketer

I’m a very passionate person who has worked hard to get to where I am today but it it would be very naive of me to say that I’m not where I am because of sacrifices other people have made and the support I’ve received from friends, family, and strangers along the way. I’m a strong believer that those who have privilege need to use it to better the world because we cannot help what we are born into. I’m a first generation Armenian-American artist who is the descendant of genocide survivors. I’m forever indebted to my ancestors — because of the sacrifices they made, I will never have to face the adversity they did. Towards the end of September, a war broke out in Artsakh and indigenous Armenian civilians have be shelled and bombed non-stop since then. Read more>>
