One of our favorite things to do is to ask the folks we are inspired by what they are inspired by. We’ve shared some of their responses below.

Josie Molasky | Music Artist

I’m really inspired by the human experience that we all understand through our shared emotions. Whether we’re going through times of joy, sadness, anxiety, or bliss – music affects the way we see the world. Through a different lens or an artistic interpretation, we can begin to unpack the meaning behind why we do the things that we do. I call on moments in my life to create songs that come from a place of honesty and see a reflection of myself and the people in my life through art. Read more>>

Moses Sparks | Photographer

As a photographer, I find inspiration in many other art forms, such as cinema, music and painting, as well as the natural world around us. Ansel Adams put it very eloquently: “You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, and the people you have loved.” Read more>>

Women. I mean, I like men. I married one. I just…women have shaped me to who I am now and still growing through. I am most inspired by the women closest to me and professionally I can resonate with women more, I don’t know, directly? I want to see more female stories and create them. Preferably the funny ones that aren’t glamorized. Read more>>

Krysia Strumpf | Showroom Manager & Creative Director, Division 9 Collaborative

I am inspired by the environment & the people I surround myself with. I recently I moved from Boston to Los Angeles – all of my tastes and style has changed. I love neutral pallets, browns & greens of the California desert – but also bold & bright colors of the murals & graffiti that decorates Los Angeles. The mix of people in this city is inspiring – I love to look around the room and wonder what everyones life story is like (knowing that they are all completely different) and what they’re doing now. I love the fashion of LA – the street & beach style is so cool. Everyone is on their own wave but we all live in the same city! Read more>>

Sil Flo | Creative, Chef, Lover of Life

I am inspired by living outside of the normal. I feel that we all get told/taught that there is a “right” path & a “wrong” path to follow. We are pressured from external forces to be someone or something that perhaps we don’t agree with. It’s of the upmost unimportance to find our own inspiration, to BE our own inspiration & to get to know ourselves. Read more>>

Kai Landworth | Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Yoga Instructor

I’m inspired by the opportunity to work with clients who are searching for the potential of growth, change, and improvement. Someone might reach out and share they feel plateaued, stuck, and looking for some direction whether it be weight loss, gaining muscle, improving energy levels, stress-management, or a myriad of other aspects of their wellness. It’s an exciting and inspiring journey to collaborate with someone through their inner process of discovering what works for them to improve and ultimately create balance in their life. Read more>>

Jessica Brittani | Mindset Mentor for Teens & Author

What inspires me most are the little moments. In the past, I have struggled with depression and allowing people in my life who treated me poorly, because of that I became aware of the importance of self-love. Self-love to me are those moments that make my heart happy. Little things like making my bed, seeing yellow flowers, noticing angel numbers on the clock, celebrating my “birthday time” as I call it (I was born 8/27 so when I see the clock say 8:27 I have a 5 second happy dance saying “It’s my birthday time!), dance parties, and taking baths. Celebrating all the small moments as well as big moments inspires me most! Read more>>

Allen Wolf | Filmmaker, Author, Game Creator, and Podcaster

Since I’ve started hosting the Navigating Hollywood podcast, I’ve been inspired by my guests, who have overcome tremendous odds to succeed in the world of film and television. I’m also creatively inspired by my family, friendships, and adventures I’ve taken around Los Angeles and the globe. I love watching my kids create entire worlds using boxes and construction paper. Their limitless imaginations spur me on. I always feel creatively recharged when I visit museums, experience a great movie, enjoy a game night with friends, or visit Disneyland, where I’ve visited over 500 times. Everything in Disneyland is based on a story, and I’ve spent many hours at the park to work on novels, screenplays, or other creative ideas. Read more>>

Life and the interactions of souls. We often forget that as humans we need to connect and learn that’s how we advance. I find that so inspiring that people go out and live and connect and grow yet still there’s so much to learn Read more>>

Aswintha Vermeulen | Singer, Actress and (Song)writer

There are so many things that inspire me. Every day. But if I have to pick one thing, I am inspired by my loved ones and the spontaneous meetings I have with people while on the road. Nearly everything I have ever written has something to do with an actual encounter or person I have met. People have extraordinary abilities to overcome incredible hardships, create beautiful things, to surprise you. A stranger can show you such beauty if you truly look and your best friend that you have known all your life can still surprise you when you are open to being surprised. I hope I’ll never stop to wonder. Read more>>
