Kandace Caine | Content Creator/Producer and Actress

I think I always liked being creative from a young age as I would love my drama classes whilst at school. I would remember being so happy to go to my drama classes and bring characters to life. I remember watching Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in the Shakespeare film “The Taming of the Shrew” and being in owe of their performances. Read more>>

Being an artist is a career, and more than a career. Over the years, my creative careers have included performing arts (theater, dance, improvisation, capoeira), and creative writing (poetry, spoken word, creative nonfiction). My intention was never to pursue an artistic career. I grew up thinking I’d be a lawyer like my Father. One early morning in 1993 changed all of that. I was fourteen years old when I was abruptly awoken by a large banging on our families front door. It was my brother, dressed in the aftermath of a prom Tuxedo covered in dirt and broken glass. Jinghui Gao | Animator

I think the most important reason is to achieve my childhood dream. I love watching animation and anime. Being an animator was a dream to me that I didn’t realize I could do. I was taught to do the things I should rather than I like while growing up. After I’ve got a chance to attend an animation class during my bachelor study, I found that is actually what I like and the thing makes me happy. So I started my experimental animation study in California and decided to achieve my childhood dream. Read more>>

Ever since I was a child, I was always doing something in the creative arts. Whether it be fashion designing, drawing, writing song lyrics, or graphic designing. I need to create. I remember growing up in an isolated environment, and the traditional all-American Texas school was not stimulating for me. Sports was somewhat of a relief, but there was something missing. I also found an outlet in FFA, raising and training animals. I was drawn to nature first, then pop culture and the arts. I’ve got a lot of energy and not just on the creative side of producing but the business side too. Read more>>

I wanted to create art in people. We’re all shining stars and have Personality-self to give color and texture to how we shine on Earth. So, when we’re able to realize and shed unnecessary blocks and limiting beliefs that we subconsciously shaped who we are in our environment, we’re naturally able to heal and bring the power of the natural life force. I didn’t pursue a creative career as much as it pursued me. Don’t get me wrong, I was artistic; I’d perform Hip Hop shows with my cousins who were musicians and producers, I was learning about illustration from a different cousin who was a graffiti artist, but for the most part, I still didn’t view the arts as a career. I was content being a college student crushing Chinese food and cramming for his finals. Read more>>

I’ve always loved storytelling, writing, and watching tons of TV and film. As a kid, conjuring up imaginary worlds, characters, and scenarios was what I did for pass time or fun. Arthur Romeo | Multi-hyphenate Artist

The pursuance of an artistic and creative career is a helluva endeavor. All at once intrepid and scary when you hear stories from friends, family and associates intent to deter you with their half-thought out imaginings, and stereotypical pitfalls of the starving artist. That wasn’t something that factored in my decision to devote my life to the arts. I decided when I was five years old. Read more>>

Pursuing an artistic path seemed to be almost automatic through out my life. Growing up, I was lucky to be exposed to so many films and television shows, as well as an array of great music. I trusted that through college, and now I couldn’t imagine creativity not oozing into practically everything throughout my everyday life. Read more>>

I grew up in Winder, Georgia, a very small rural town northeast of Atlanta. My father, who had only a second grade education, raised four kids alone after he and my mother separated when I was 4 years old. It was a difficult childhood as some days we did not know where our next meal would come from, or if we would have a roof over our head. We lived in some run down horrible places where I never had my own room and most of the time, nor my own bed. Read more>>

There’s something innately and powerfully within me that sees, feels, and lives artistically and creatively – and has always done so, even before I knew it. I have always been very into art since I was a kid, especially animated films and cartoons. Watching them always made my heart race, giving me a special kind of excitement I can’t even describe. To me, the stories that happen in those worlds reveal various possibilities on how life can be lived. I treasure the way animation pushes us to think, imagine, and feel the emotions of people and the world we’re in. I realized that that is what I want to do: to tell stories that will make people feel that adrenaline that I once felt before. Read more>>

I’ve always had an edge to me that felt like it needed to be compartmentalized through experiences growing up in my family and the people I surrounded myself with at school.
